I aim to create a safe non-judgmental space, tailoring my approach to meet your unique needs. I want to support you to build a life you love. Whether you’re facing challenges with anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, emotional regulation, relationships or life decisions, I’m here to support you.
I use Solution-Focused Counselling, Person-Centred Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) tools to help you navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel comfortable expressing yourself. Together, we will work towards your personal goals—whether that’s strengthening your mindset, managing emotions, or healing from past experiences.”
Online counselling sessions via zoom or phone call available New Zealand wide. My sessions are at a lower cost compared to other counsellors, to help fit your budget. I have weekend and evening availability for those juggling full-time work or other commitments. If none of the times work for you, please click “ask a question” below to let me know your availability. We may be able to arrange an alternative time.
What to expect from counselling?
If this is your first-time seeking counselling, you may be feeling anxious or unsure about what to expect. This is completely normal, and a lot of people experience it. It may take a while for you to feel comfortable sharing with me but the more open you can be, the more you will take away from each session.
Talk as much or as little as you like—there’s no pressure. I’ll work with you to understand your concerns and goals at your own pace. Some clients feel better after just one session, while others find ongoing support more helpful. It all depends on what you’re facing. No matter how big or small your worries feel, they are worth talking about.
Do I need to prepare anything before my first session?
There is no pressure to prepare anything, but you may find it helpful to reflect on what has been affecting you that has prompted you to look for counselling. Stress? Struggling to balance life? Just feeling down? Facing a major change? Also, have a think about what you would like to take away from these sessions. If nothing comes to mind, that is okay too! We can work through it together and address these questions during the session.
Do I have to do the session alone?
Counselling is a journey and not something you have to do alone. If you would feel more comfortable with a support person in the room, bring them along.
Do I need to turn my camera on?
Having your camera on can help with connection and understanding your emotions, but it’s entirely up to you. If you feel more comfortable with it off, that’s completely okay—no pressure and no questions asked.
